The First 15 week Recovery Journey is running:
Sep 8th- Dec 15th 2009 (Youth welcome to begin on any week)
The Second 15 week Recovery Journey is running:
Feb 9th 2010- May 18th 2010 (Youth welcome to begin on any week)

In our
society today youth are often forced to confront some of life’s toughest
issues. The experiences we have and the choices we make during adolescence can
forever shape the type of adults that we become. Sadly, all too often it
is during this time that destructive habits and coping behaviours are engrained
into our identities and they predispose us to a life of choices that hurt
ourselves and those around us. But there is hope!
Life Hurts God Heals is a ministry that is committed to reaching out to High School aged youths who are hurting. The Life Hurts God Heals journey involves the teaching of 8 Christ-centered recovery principles over the course of 15 weeks. The recovery journey is one where students will have the opportunity to explore their hurts in a safe and confidential environment and find healing in God’s immeasurable grace. Just because we all experience pain during our journey through life doesn’t mean that we have to face it alone.

Life Hurts God Heals Shepherds - The adult leaders are not counselors, they are simply there to facilitate, provide oversight and act as mentor. They are there to listen without judgement and to be a safe friend.
During the 15 week recovery journey, students work through a workbook and take turns sharing in their Small Groups.
