At Lincoln Road Chapel, we are blessed with a beautiful sports facility. Previous to purchasing this facility, it was owned by the Waterloo YMCA and for one year, Lincoln Road Chapel and the Waterloo YMCA shared the building. In 2005, the Waterloo YMCA moved their services entirely to the Kitchener YMCA facility. Inside our building, we have a large gym with a running track suspended from its ceiling. It is equipped with basketballs, hockey sticks, nets, balls and other sports equipment. Outside, we also have two tennis courts that are available for use.

We desire to use our resources in ways where people know they matter and God is the main attraction! One of the ways we do this is through a Boys and Girls Basketball League, held in March and April of each year.We also host weekly sporting opportunities which you can view on our Upcoming Events page. They are also listed below for your reference:

Tuesday Evening Volleyball
Every Tuesday night from 8:30-10:30 pm, you are welcome to play volleyball in the gym. The event is open to everyone, both male and female and young and old. For more information, contact the church office.

Sunday Evening Basketball
Post high-school men and women are invited play basketball on Sunday evenings from 8:00 pm to 9:30 pm. For more information, contact the church office.

Basketball League (For Boys and Girls in Grades 5-8)

" We organize the LRC Basketball program because we believe that following Jesus dribbles into all areas of life, including basketball. We want to encourage the players to make wise choices and persevere, so that they may look back on thier lives and say"slam dunk"!"

Boys and Girls Basketball League: Monday Evenings

One Night - two different times!

Date: March 4 - April 22, 2013

Girls time: 6:00 pm to 7:25 pm

Boys Time : 7:35-9:00 pm

Ten minute overlap for combined Life Skills

Location: Lincoln Road Chapel, Gym

Cost: $30

Maximum Enrollment: 32 boys and 32 girls

The LRC Basketball League is an 8 week program designed to give boys and girls the opportunity to play basketball, improve their skills, make friends and learn how to apply court lessons to their everyday life. Each participant will:

Have the opportunity to play in eight 40 minute games with guaranteed playing time.
Have the opportunity to improve their basketball skills in a fun learning environment.
Receive a LRC basketball Team T-shirt.
Enjoy a pizza and pop night with their LRC team.
Have the opportunity to engage in weekly life skills discussions; learning how to apply lessons learned on the court to everyday life.

To guarantee a spot for your child this year, register early in February. Registration forms will be distributed to area schools and are available at LRC office.
